His Encouragement: Nothing will be impossible with God

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Life in this sin-marred world is not always easy. The path we follow can be traitorous. Many of us face challenges, illness, heartache, and deep sorrow. When we are in the deep valleys, we often cannot see the joys that are awaiting us on the other side of the mountain.

His Encouragement: Without complaining and arguing

Basically, what the apostle Paul is telling us here is that we need to become more conscious of our attitude, our mindset, and our words.

His Encouragement: Listen to advice and accept instruction

Reading Time: 3 minutes There are times when God will place the right people in our path at just the right time with the right piece of advice. We need to be open to advice and humble enough to accept instruction (possibly even correction) when it is coming from a reliable source.

His Encouragement: Let Us Pray

The book of James is an amazing book, packed full with practical teachings on Christian living. Some even refer to it as the Proverbs of the New Testament.

While it may not be as overtly theological – like Romans, for example – much of the writings are easily understood and so sensible that we can apply them to our lives immediately.

His Encouragement: Milk or Solid Food?

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Even though it seemed condescending to my younger self, I realize now that the words are not as harsh as I once thought. In fact, it is a pretty accurate depiction of us as we are growing in Christ.

Whether we are brand new to the faith or have been believers all our lives, the duration of our relationship with Christ does not really matter. What matters is the depth of our relationship.
