Welcome! Welcome, dearest friends, to His Encouragement: Biblical Inspiration for Your Thursday. Every week, I join a few blogging friends to bring you a Bible passage and a little hope-filled discussion. We pray that these devotionals help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you.
The Bible Verses
This week I am going to do things a little differently. Instead of selecting only one verse of encouragement, I have selected ten Bible verses about thanksgiving and praise to share.
1 Chronicles 16:34
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
Psalm 100:4
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”
Jeremiah 30:19
“Out of them shall come songs of thanksgiving, and the voices of those who celebrate. I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will make them honored, and they shall not be small.”
1 Corinthians 1:4
“I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Corinthians 15:57
“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 4:6
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Colossians 3:15
“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.”
Colossians 3:17
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Revelation 11:17
“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was, for you have taken your great power and begun to reign.”
Be Thankful
I pray that these ten Bible verses about thanksgiving and praise have encouraged you today. These verses are beautiful and powerful, and demonstrate just how deep our Lord and Creator’s love for us is.
Here in the United States, Thanksgiving is next week. As your family gathers around the dinner table on that day, share one or two of these verses. Ask your family members and friends what they are thankful for.
